MyLearners Free Driving Lesson
The myLearners Free Lesson is a road safety education and coaching program designed to build the knowledge, skills and behaviours of Victorian learners and supervising drivers.
Learner drivers aged 16 to 19 years, and their supervising drivers will benefit from a complimentary 60-minute in-car coaching session during the early stages of the supervised learning-to-drive period.
This program is designed to improve road safety for new and young drivers.
It aims to instil confidence in supervision and lay the groundwork for a lifelong commitment to safe driving practices.
The program complements the Graduated Licensing System and promotes learning resources, including the myLearners app, Road Rules Online and the myLearners website for ongoing self-paced learning throughout the 120 hours of practice.
Eligibility
The eligibility criteria for the myLearners Free Lesson Program are designed for learner drivers aged 16 to 21 who have completed between 10 and 50 hours of supervised driving practice.
The change aligns with the Graduated Licensing System (GLS), which emphasises the importance of gaining structured driving experience over time.
Importantly, the program is designed not just for the learner, but also to actively involve the supervising driver. Supervisors must be present during the lesson, ensuring they can build their confidence, reinforce safe driving practices, and support consistent coaching beyond the session.
Overall, the criteria enable more young drivers and their supervisors to benefit from guided, practical support which can lead to safer drivers.
To be eligible for a free lesson you must:
Hold a Victorian learner permit
Be 16-21 years old
Have completed 10-50 hours of driving practice
Have a fully licensed supervisor in attendance
(The person who will supervise most of your driving)
How to book a Free Lesson?
Firstly you will need to register on the MyLearners Drive website, https://mylearnersdrive.com.au/register, once registered you will receive a text message with your Free Lesson ID (FLID).
If you are under 18 you will need parent/guardian consent.
Once you receive your FLID, you can enter it into the form below.
After the form has been processed, you will receive an email from us with your Voucher Link to book your Free Lesson.
On that link you can choose the date and time of your lesson at anytime online.
NOTE: This lesson is for both the Learner and the main Supervising Driver, so when booking your lesson please ensure both are available for the hour booking.
