Meet the Driving Instructor:
Teaching others to drive has been a passion of mine since I was young. Growing up in New Zealand, I obtained my learner’s permit at 15 and my full licence by 17. Not long after, I was helping friends—and eventually their siblings—learn the skills to become confident drivers.
My career journey has taken me all across Australia. From working in insurance in Queensland, to managing resorts along the Western Australian coast, and later managing holiday parks in Victoria and New South Wales, I’ve gained a wealth of experience in leadership, communication, and supporting people from all walks of life.
Eventually, I settled in Ballarat, where I worked as a Licence Testing Officer at VicRoads. This role reignited my original passion: teaching people to drive. Seeing first-hand the challenges learners face during their tests inspired me to create a supportive, patient, and confidence-building learning environment of my own.
That’s how Wheely Happy Driving School was born—a place where learners aren’t just prepared to pass their test, but to enjoy the journey and feel truly confident on the road.
